The purpose of Indivisible Abroad is to build a network of US citizens who live abroad and want the people of the United States to restore our democracy through peaceful resistance and protest. We also welcome allies who are not US citizens but are concerned about US politics and policy. We help to establish, build the capacity of, and connect Indivisible groups outside the United States; we also serve to connect these groups with US Indivisible and other movement partners both abroad and back in the US. These Indivisible Abroad groups can be organized at the city, region, or national level depending on local needs and resources. Finally, we are a democratic organization that works in collaboration with other abroad groups but does not direct their action.

We accomplish our purpose through the following interrelated activities:

• Sharing information and resources
  • Organizing tools and training information
  • Relevant literature and other media that help us expand our political understanding and create effective actions
  • Specific knowledge relevant to our cause and keeping us safe
• Coordinate / Organize / Mobilize
  • Helping Indivisible Abroad groups coordinate and execute actions to achieve maximum impact
  • Helping individuals living abroad find each other and connect
  • When member groups and unaffiliated members decide our support would assist with their organizing and movement building, we help organize and mobilize:
    • Virtual actions across countries (reading/writing groups, call/text banks, communicating with elected officials)
    • Coordinated simultaneous actions across countries, regions, or cities
