Indivisible Bremen Statement

Indivisible Bremen is a non-partisan group dedicated to supporting democracy locally, and abroad. We are affiliated with Indivisible Abroad and Indivisible in the USA. We support the five principles of Indivisible as they apply to living outside the USA. These are:

• We want to actively work to realize a shared and inclusive vision for our democracy.
• We will model inclusion, fairness and respect in our actions.
• We will partner with other Indivisible groups and other democratic groups on advocacy and Indivisible actions and elections.
• We will focus our efforts to build a strong and effective movement at many levels of government in the US and abroad.
• We will ensure that all of our events and actions will be nonviolent.

Our members live in the Bremen region. Our members want to make a difference in the USA, Germany and the world from right here in Bremen. We would like to focus on developing relationships with other democratic organizations including democratic German political parties to help sustain democratic laws, governance and institutions in Germany. We want to help the people of the United States stand up to the Trump regime and other undemocratic elements of the US, and any other nondemocratic administration that may follow. We want to help Germany to stand up to nondemocratic parties and actions as well, and will partner with other countries in Indivisible Abroad on actions that will help to foster a better, more equitable world.
